Digital Marketing
Website Design

1. Brand Messaging
Through the brand messaging process we'll define your business' values, identify your unique value proposition, and set the framework for how we'll build your digital marketing strategy.

2. Domain to Template
Some clients are already deep into the process, but for many we'll start by choosing a domain, linking it to a website builder, picking a template, and then start creating a website that shows what makes you and your business special.

3. Collaboration
I'll do the bulk of the design work, but I work collaboratively with clients. We will meet every 1-2 weeks to look at new edits and discuss changes, as well as continue to develop your brand messaging

4. Search Engine Optimization
SEO is a key piece of digital marketing for any small business, but it involves a number of steps. I will walk you through process and ensure we're getting your business in front of as many people as possible.

5. Going Live
Once all the pieces are in place and you feel comfortable, we will go live and start to share your site to get feedback and see how it feels. Sometimes going live can change how you feel about parts of your site, so we'll make adjustments as we go.

6. Future Edits
One of the biggest benefits of modern-day websites is the ability to make quick edits without having to pay someone like me. While I help many clients make updates and edits both large and small, I can also show you how to make your own edits.
We LOVE working with Charlie. His work ethic, creativity, and willingness to listen make a perfect combination. He has increased our audience and challenged us to think outside the box, all while offering innovative tactics to move our non-profit to new levels.

Social Media Profiles
I no longer manage social media profiles. There are simply too many other people who are passionate and great at it, but I can help you set up those account profiles, give an overview of the tools and insights, and set you on your way.

Blog Writing & Book Editing
I first began blogging and editing books 12 years ago. Throughout the years I have helped multiple people edit their book and writing content for a number of websites, blogs, and publications.

Email Campaigns
While I typically use Mailchimp, there are a number of resources available for sending email campaigns or simple one off updates. I can give you a tutorial on using email campaigns or manage them for you.

I’m also an experienced writer. I create website and email marketing content, write blogs, and edit books.
Additionally, I can help set up social media profiles, work email addresses through Google, and other small business operational tools.

For my digital marketing services, I charge an hourly fee of $75. This includes all client meetings, content creation, website design, research, etc.
Because I work hourly, the overall cost varies. I tell most clients that I can build a website for around $1,500 - $2,500. Again, this depends on a number of variables:
How many website pages we build.
How much content you have written or choose to write on your own.
Whether we need the help of my graphic designer.
How often you choose to meet with me.
I also provide a website design plan that is a flat rate of $2,500. This plan includes:
Five page, fully functional website
Weekly Meetings with Charlie
SEO Set up
Google Business Profile created
Training on website editing
Photography & additional services available
You’ll likely incur these additional costs:
Website Host: $200 per year
Domain Purchase: $12 per year
Email address: $7 per month

For most clients, there will essentially be 7 steps to our process:
Brand Messagine: Through the brand messaging process we'll define your business' values, identify your unique value proposition, and set the framework for how we'll build your digital marketing strategy.
Domain & Template: Some clients are already far along in the process, but for many we'll start by choosing a domain, linking it to a website builder, and picking a template, and then we’ll start creating a website.
Website Design: Once a template is in place, I’ll begin building out website pages. I’ll add in content, photos, quotes, testimonials, and calls to action. Essentially building out every inch of the website to match you, your business, and your clients
SEO: SEO is a key piece of digital marketing for any small business, but it involves a number of steps. I will walk you through process and ensure we're getting your business in front of as many people as possible.
Going Live: Once all of the pieces are in place and you feel confident, we will go live and start to share your site to get feedback and see how it feels. Sometimes going live can change how you feel about parts of your site, so we can easily make adjustments as we go.
Editing Tutorial: One of the biggest benefits of modern-day websites is the ability to make quick edits yourself without having to pay someone like me. While I help many clients make updates and edits both large and small, my ultimate goal is that you have the capability to make edits yourself.
Extras: I'll also help you set up a work email address, create a Google business profile, create blog content, send marketing emails, and assist with other small business operational needs.

Each client and each project is different. In the beginning stages, I typically meet with clients weekly for an hour. Some clients choose to continue to meet weekly, as it helps to process move more quickly, while I’ll meet with others every ten to fourteen days. It really depends on the client and the project. We’ll work together to set a schedule that works best for you.
What I’ll need from you tends to fall into the following categories:
Template: You’ll have final say on choosing the template from the options we pick out together.
A mood board: I’ll ask you to pick out some pictures, colors, and quotes to help me get a feel for your personality and how you want to express yourself.
Content: A lot of content will be sourced from our brand messaging meetings, your resume, an older website, etc. However, as we build your website, there will be content I’ll need you to work on between our meetings.
Examples:
2-3 sentences describing the services you provide.
Answers to frequently asked questions.
Your mission statement.
Resources you’d like to provide.
Most important to know, our work will be collaborative and we’ll work together to determine a plan of action when it comes to all parts of the process. I'll ensure we stay focused and have all the content we need.

My experience with digital marketing started nine years ago while working for a tech start-up as the only member of the marketing team. I was doing everything, from social media to building and maintaining our website to blog content and email marketing.
That’s when I decided to combine my masters degree in counseling with my experience in digital marketing to start providing services to small businesses, non-profits, and individuals. I grew up around small businesses and passionate people working hard at what they love. I’ve watched how difficult it is for friends starting their private practice or trying to get their non-profit off the ground.
I realized I could use what I’m passionate about–telling awesome stories–to help others do what they love.

I understand passionate, creative people. I know digital marketing can be a stumbling block for those who want to focus on their work but also want to market themselves in a way that feels authentic.
I am passionate about being the person who helps you move beyond the stumbling blocks toward expressing your story in an engaging, authentic way that allows you to focus on your work and helping your clients.
You should choose to work with me because my background in psychology and experience in digital marketing means I can provide you with a unique perspective that few others can. I am able to see you and your business and notice the small details in a way that those without my background and training cannot.
You won’t find many people who are more passionate than I am about helping the helpers.

Many clients already have a website in place that is either outdated or not extensive enough. Having content already in place can be an excellent starting point for upgrading your site. We can reuse the elements you like and build your new site from this baseline.
Having an existing website can also make the process move more quickly and even make it less expensive!

One of the reasons I prefer using a website builder like Wix is because they blend dynamic templates with easy to use SEO, Google Analytics, Google search console, etc.
For most of my clients this provides more than enough information about their reach.
We can also run online ads directly from the Wix dashboard.

Yes to both.
We can use what you have or I work with a wonderful graphic designer who can bring your vision to life.
While I'm not a graphic designer myself, I created my own logo and have helped some clients who were on a budget.
